(f) The tax shall become immediately due and payable if the taxpayer does not have in their possession written proof of payment of the tax within 10 days after its due date. Upon presentation of such proof by the taxpayer within 10 days after the tax due date, the Tax Collector may accept such proof and may assess the taxpayer a civil penalty not to exceed 300.00 for each payment of late payment of taxes. As a condition for payment of a levy or interest on the Levy amount, the Tax Collector may require a return on or offer of proof of residence. (g) Each city, town, village, or incorporated town within the state of Alaska receiving a levy shall submit a list of all levies received within 5 business days from the date of the distribution of levy amount.
